No! We teach that salvation is by the grace of God and was purchased by Christ's death on the cross. (Ephesians 2:8-10, I Corinthians 1:21-24) There is no deed or deeds we can do that are sufficient to earn us God's forgiveness or pay for the debt of our sin. Sin can be forgiven only through the blood of Christ. (Romans 3:23-26).
We believe in the plan of salvation as laid out in the New Testament which can be summarized as: faith, confession, repentance, and baptism for the forgiveness of sins, and those who are obedient to God's plan receive the forgiveness of sins, the gift of the holy spirit and are added to the church which is the body of Christ. (See e.g. Acts 2:36-41; Rom. 10:9-10; Col. 1:24).
