Just as Jesus had compassion on the poor and the sick, we teach and believe that all disciples should give of themselves to serve the poor where they live.  Locally, the congregation regularly provides financial support to both to members and the community to help meet needs as they arise.   In order to serve larger needs around the world, a coordinated outreach, called HOPE worldwide, was begun. Several projects have gained national and international acclaim. Our congregation provides regular financial support to a program in Manila, Philippines that provides both housing and education to abandoned teenagers.  But whether the work is a large, high-profile project or a simple helping of one person by another, our goal is to imitate Jesus in his concern for the poor and needy and to make a difference in every way that we can!
